Indonesia Offers Southeast Asia’s Lowest Gasoline and Aviation Fuel Prices

Indonesia’s fuel prices, particularly for gasoline and aviation fuel, remain among the lowest in Southeast Asia, according to the country’s state-owned energy company. Pertamax, Indonesia’s RON 92 gasoline, is available at approximately Rp15,950 ($0.89) per litre, making it cheaper than similar options in Singapore, the Philippines, and Thailand.

The cost of RON 95 gasoline in Indonesia is also the lowest in the region, priced at around Rp19,150 ($1.07) per litre. This is less than the price in Malaysia, where it costs Rp19,822, as well as in Thailand, the Philippines, and Singapore, where prices are significantly higher.

In terms of aviation fuel, Indonesia offers the lowest price in Southeast Asia at about Rp20,190 ($1.13) per litre. Vietnam follows with a slightly higher price of Rp20,619, with other countries like Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia showing more considerable differences in price.

For diesel, Indonesia ranks as the third-cheapest in the region, with a price of around Rp25,200 ($1.41) per litre, trailing behind Vietnam and Malaysia. These comparisons underscore Indonesia’s competitive pricing in several key fuel categories within Southeast Asia.
